Both phones are listed as Coming Soon and i find no evidence that either is official. There's no price is fixed for either of them too till now .

The latest one is from Google's official Twitter account where the company posted screenshots of Google Now's new World cup info card. if you look , the time on the clock says 5:00 .

Even though Google is yet to announce the release date of Android 5.0 , according to some input it is most likely that the company will release it at the I/O 2014 conference and might name it Lollipop (though the name is not official yet).

One of the highlights of the phone is the 5-inch Super AMOLED display. The display of this device delivers rich colours and very good viewing angle.The Android version is still 4.2.2 however so hopefully Gionee updates this to 4.3 at the very least , if not KitKat.


The camera of this smartphone manages some pretty good indoor and outdoor as well. i couldn't get better shots since all the phones were tethered. i noticed the the camera heats up after taking some picture which is not a good sign for S5.5 .

The company has already established itself in the Indian Smartphone market with the successful launches like the E6 and E7 and hopefully with the S5.5 .

Angry Bird Stella is coming : Rovio

Angry Bird is flying high now Rovio has announced its Angry Birds Stella ,another spin off of the popular angry Birds game, will be launching in September this year .Rovio has also revealed how the new game would look like, though it has already released a slew of teasers for the game. according to the game developer, Stella is an inclusive brand as celebrates female heroism.


Angry Birds Stella will be accompanied by character such as Poppy , Willow , Dahlia and Luca , and are supposed to "find creative and fun solutions to their problems ". Stella and her friends will also go head to head with Gale, a good bird gone bad, who wants to rule over the birds' island habitat and her pig servants.


Blanca juti , The CMO of  Rovio Entertainment says "The wonderful spirit of  these fearless friends will shake things up across games. animations , books , consumer products and other fun content under the angry Birds Stella brand ".

First Angry Birds Stella title will feature slingshot gameplay set in an island, called Golden Island. The game will feature a new line of telepods ,new gameplay features. Rovio says is going to challenge even the most experienced bird flingers.

"Stella and her friends aren't just going to be in games this fall - November sees the premier of their very own animation series on ToonsTV ! The first season wil have 13 six-minute episodes, each one an inspiring tale of adventure, heroism and friendship . Samsung anounces Samsung Z with Tizen OS

After several delays, Samsung has finally launched its first Tizen-powered smartphone, the simply named Samsung Z.

The Samsung Z sports a 4.9 inch, 1280x720 Super AMOLED display , 2.3 GHz quad-core processor ( probably the Snapdragon 800 ) , 2GB of RAM , 16 GB internal memory with microSD card support, 8 megapixel rear camera 2.1 megapxel front camera , LTE ,NFC , IR sensor it comes with a 2600 mAh battry and version 2.2.1 of Tizen .

The Samsung Z also has a fingerprint sensor in the home button and a heart rate monitor on the back, which first debuted on the Galaxy S5 .


There doesn't seem anything particularly new or appealing about the Tizen OS as of now but Samsung does promise fast performance, quick multitasking and high quality web browsing experience. The UI is somewhat similar to the one on the new Galaxy S5 .

The phone will initially launch in Russia in the third quarter of this year, and will make its way to some of the other markets later.

Microsoft's newly launched Surface Pro 3 looks like a laptop than a tablet . The Surface Pro runs on a proper laptop engine -Intel Haswell series core processors, 4GB of RAM and 64-256 GB of solid state memory so the possibility is high that it will get the upgrade soon once Broadwell platform ready. The Surface Pro 3 comes with SATA 3 interface is a tad disappointing . Storage performance is lot faster due to PCI interface.

The biggest change on the surface Pro 3 is its screen size goes to 12 inch and aspect ratio 3:2 similar to the iPad's 4:3 aspect ratio. Overall the display is large and sharp enough for a ultraportable laptop-like use case scenario. The Best part of this device is its touchscreen further aids ease of use, even when using this device as a laptop. 

 Battery life :

For ultraportable laptop users, hours of battery life is premium one most of the  windows 8.1 ultrabooks tread in the 6-8 hours range for battery life. "Testing consist of full battery discharge while internet browsing over WiFi was associated with a network Auto-Brightness disabled ,and bluetooth Radio was turned off .Battery life varies with settings , usage and other factors" .

The Surface Pro Type cover for the Surface Pro 3 is larger than the previous one because of the larger dimensions Surface Pro 3 allows the cover to offer an almost  full-size keypad, making typing a comfortable and smooth experience but you still don't get the same tactile feedback as of ultrabooks / laptops due to the shallow design of the keypad. 

Weight and portability :

Surface Pro 3 is most definitely a lot more portable compared to laptop and ultrabooks due its compact design its weights only 0.8 Kg (800 grams) weight profile and compact dimensions, but when you add the cover takes the weight to approximately 1.1 kg bringing 

it closer to the 1.3 kg ultrabook territory due to which it's heavy , cumberosme and awkward to hold .

Price :

Priced at $799 the surface Pro 3 seems well priced but adding $130 for the "Type cover" pushes the price tag to $940 for a 64 GB version with base core i3 processor. Add 128 GB flash drive and a core i5 processor (same as all base versions of ultrabooks/laptops) and you end up with a final price tag that reads more like $1128 rather than $799.

Connectivity :

No 3G /LTE for a $ 799 tablet .yes , the launch model don't offer cellular data connectivity , WiFi is the only way to get the Surface Pro 3 connected to the web. 

No fan :

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 does house a fan inside its slim chassis to keep things cool and while it might not be as audible ,holding it close to you when using in tablet mode could make the fan noise an irritant, especially in quit environments .

As stated at the beginning of this story , the Surface Pro 3 is a lot more of a laptop than a tablet but it is better in aspect of portability ,but i doubt whether it will make you dump your laptop .

Snapchat going high added text chat and video call features

Snapchat added new feature the biggest update yet thursday , in a big move added text messaging and vedwo chatting to its photo and video chatting to its photo and video sharing app.

The latest version of the Snapchat app focuses on helping its users have conversations rather than just one-off picture and video messages.

the snapchat was badly missing an important part of conversation as the company wrote in a blog post "There's nothing like knowing you have the full attention of your fried while you're chatting".

In a new look :

Many of the app's icons and buttons have been redesigned and the entire user interface gas been given some much-needed polish. The menus, which you still navigate via swipes, are cleaner and less cluttered. The font style is also been given new look with more subtle typeface with smaller one .

New feature added Text messing :

One of the biggest thing that snapchat was badly in need that was conversation between users and with the latest update ,users can now have full-fledged conversations through the app. Simply swipe right over a contact's name from  your inbox to pull up a conversation view.

Video Chatting :

One of the best feature that snapchat added is live video chatting to the app. This feature is triggered only when both users have the app open and are in the same conversation.When this occurs , the yellow capture button turns into a blue button the company is calling "here".


Hold down this button and the app begins to record video that immediately appears on the user's screen. As you do in the photo messages in text chats, you can swipe between your device's front and rear-facing cameras by swiping up and down on the screen .

As far as video quality , is not exactly the HD quality of other apps like FaceTime but its feels better than average especially considering it's in real time it's pretty good .

Compared to this update ,the old snapchat , with the simple design and emphasis solely on disappearing photos , seems a bit immature .With the latest update The SnapChat has managed to build a powerful and with  Better GUI build a surprisingly powerful messaging platform .
